We’re a small indie press that operates under a hybrid model. That means we’re focused on three things:
We work with authors to establish a publishing pace that works for them — we won’t slow down the process with tons of red tape, nor will we demand the publishing equivalent of “fast-fashion.”
We focus on quality over quantity. This narrows our range from the get-go—we stick in the fantasy genre, and we’re looking for the best. This means you can trust the books on our list, and it also gives us the time to support the authors we choose to work with.
We offer competitive royalty splits. Our hybrid model requires investment from both our authors and our press. When each party does their part, it ensures a fair split of the profits.

WTD Press looks for fantastical stories with a clever twist or unique take on the fantasy genre. Our commitment to authors is to empower and center the human element of authorship, encouraging them to take a realistic approach to drafting, a soul-centered approach to editing, and a sane approach to timelines. While we believe AI can help with research, our readers can trust that we do not include AI-generated writing in any of our books.
